                                 JOY HYSTERIC SPRING-SUMMER 10/11 LAUNCH

East nightclub in Broadbeach hosted Joy Hysteric’s Spring Summer ‘10/11 Launch last night. It was sponsored by Grazia Magazine so there were plenty of past issues spread all over the tables (which I totally didn’t steal and put under my arm as I left the building).

The night was full of bubbly, canapes, cupcakes, and the best dressed list of the Gold Coast. If only I was cute enough to win the best dressed prize which was a Salita Matthew’s feather neckpiece worth over $300! It was absolutely stunning. You can see the rest of her collection here.

Spring is certainly upon us and Summer is definitely on the way. I can already hear my body crying out for a bikini workout! Pfft. Who am I kidding. I’ll just wait for Winter to come back around.

All jokes aside, the fashions this season are very pretty indeed. Mostly floral, fairly bright, lots of muted bones and pastel colours, and lots of detail! It’s all in the details lads and ladies. Well not so much ‘lads’. Whether it’s crystals on a plunging neckline or embroidery on a shoulder, and don’t forget ruffles, ruffles, ruffles!

The shapes are very varied but the floaty, copious amounts of fabric, starts at your bust and drops, (making you look a tad pregnant) is very prominent again this Summer. But as always, anything goes really. Except mini skirts and midriffs - please.

You can order online or simply visit Joy Hysteric here…
